Done on Lama Li with American Journey watercolor paints and a little bit of white acrylic paint. The reference photo along with the "rules" for the challenge can be seen here
Virtual Sketch Date.
This was much more challenging than it looked! It was difficult to get the white pith covering the clementine and also on the inside of the peel.

This is so soft and delicate. A lovely sensitive rendition of the clementine.

Love the loose look of this! (BTW - your daughter, Katie, and I share the same birthdate!)

You are correct, this was a lot more challenging than first meets the eye. However, you have done a lovely job of it. It is sensitive and beautiful.

I like it!

Congratulations!

I too found it more difficult than I though it would be! I like how you handled the scrabbly white pith on the fruit, and the blue vignetted background is lovely.

It has a lovely delicate feel. The soft blue works well, gives it a nice watery feel.

I had trouble with the white pithy part of the orange but yours looks really good.

Your delicate touch and light colors make for a treat for the eye, Brenda.

it was very difficult..especially in watercolor I think. Great result though..nice glaze layers.
Well done.

All of those white bits made it a challenging reference. You handled it well, though, and still maintained that loose, brightly lit look.

You have a gentle light touch with the clementine. I agree about the difficulties of the white pith parts. But you captured the essence.
